Professor Dong, Jingming is the music director of the "Nanjing Jazz Music and World Music Festival". (www.nanjingjazz.com) A master of erhu he performs with virtuosity, unrivalled skills and a unique understanding of music. Attracted by jazz- and world music for a long time he enlarged his ways of expression continuously and thrills people with his performances of traditional Chinese music both as a solo artist and with his ensemble. At the same time he wows musicians and audiences all over the planet when working together with musicians performing other music genres.
Besides that Professor Dong, Jinming could already pass down skills and his affection for music when teaching not only his son but also many other Chinese children as well as many students from all over the world.
Being a high skilled representative for traditional Chinese music, he travels to many countries every year and was sent to the Olympic Games in Athen 2004 by the Chinese Government as the ambassador of Chinese music.
